Velocity Squad
The Velocity Squad is the competitive biathlon team and is coached by
Tracey Hutton, and Nick Marnik, with assistance from Veronica Porter and Dominic Devigne and Rebecca Parnum.
The Velocity Squad meets 2 times a week (Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 and Sundays 10:30-12:30),
and athletes also take part in ski training with either the CCY Squad programs or the JDP Ski Program at Mt. Mac.
The competitive focus means travelling to outside competitions
in British Columbia, Alberta when possible as well as the Westerns and the Nationals.
Athletes MUST have their Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) to travel on outside competitions.
This squad is for athletes ages 13-18 who have already completed at least a year of Pursuit Squad
